Projects

Noto, Sicilia 2021 Ciam Lab

Ciam supplies the entire furnishing for the renovation of the historic Caffè Sicilia, located in the enchanting setting of Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Noto, Sicily. The idea behind the renovation of the café, desired by the owner and well-known confectioner Corrado Assenza, was to maintain the identity of the place, but equipping it with all the most advanced technologies.
The bar area is composed by a coffee counter and by two glycol refrigerated ice cream counters with a patented system of “temperature uniformity” between the service and the storage carapins; the back counter is composed by refrigerated and neutral stainless steel basements of the Compact line. The front covering of the bar counter is made of walnut burl with ash inlays, the counter and the plinth are made of Verde Guatemala marble.
The pastry area is composed of three refrigerated display cabinets model Mya2 for pastry and chocolate equipped with intermediate hot shelves, channeled in aesthetic continuity, and the cash desk. The front panelling of the display cabinets is made of walnut root wood with Guatemala Green marble plinth.
The back counter of the patisserie area is composed of two Murozero vertical showcases, one at positive temperature for the display of wines and one at low temperature for semifreddos, and of neutral bases of the Compact line, with worktop in Verde Guatemala marble, made of steel and covered in walnut burl.
