Alessandro Vitiello and Moon Open: A Project Becomes Reality.

The CIAM station, inaugurated by bartender Alessandro Vitiello, has revolutionized the world of Mixology by opening the doors to inclusivity.

This journey, which began a year ago, has now reached its final consecration with Moon Open, located within the “Donna Clelia” lounge bar restaurant in Praiano. This marks the last step of an important and significant project for CIAM and a new beginning for Alessandro Vitiello, who today realizes his dream of returning to his profession in a highly professional manner, thanks to the barrier removal enabled by the new CIAM station.

From the collaboration with the famous bartender Bruno Vanzan and designer Fabiano Zucconi, to CIAM, which created the station, Moon Open is a project that has seen various partners come together, all united by the desire to create innovation and revolutionize the professional field of Mixology with a focus on accessibility to the workforce.

Specifically designed to accommodate professionals with disabilities in wheelchairs, Moon Open was conceived to allow all bartenders to perform their job independently, thanks to a design that opens up a flexible and accessible way of working.

“Finally, it has all become real. Heartfelt thanks to Bruno Vanzan, who made it possible for me to truly return to work, and thanks to Federico Malizia and the entire CIAM staff, who wanted me to be part of this project, making me feel always involved and stimulated.”

With these words, Alessandro accompanied the delivery of Moon Open by CIAM at the venue where he works as a bartender. Located in one of the most enchanting places on the Amalfi Coast, before becoming a famous restaurant and lounge bar, Donna Clelia was an old “malazeno,” a shelter for boats and fishermen in case of bad weather: a place lived with passion, in direct contact with people and the most authentic nature. The same authenticity that, after over sixty years, we still find in the excellence of a place whose experience has been passed down from generation to generation by the Ferraioli family.

A place where everything, from the kitchen to hospitality, is expressed through warmth. It is the sense of family and hospitality that gives this further step of the Moon Open project an even deeper meaning, which today sees CIAM as part of a scenario made of technical and product innovation, but also, and above all, of bonds, passions, and dreams that become reality.
