Comunicando 2024 award to the MOON Open project.

CIAM was conferred a significant new award as part of the 18th edition of the Comunicando Award, sponsored by PuntoIT magazine. An initiative that rewards the best advertising campaigns that have appeared in the trade press and some of the most effective digital strategy activities expressed during the year which just ended, as well as “historic” brands, and those that have particularly distinguished themselves with social or artistic initiatives.

At the awards ceremony, held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2025 edition of Sigep in Rimini, a jury of journalists, communication and digital strategies experts awarded CIAM and the Moon project – in its Open version – for the Social and Artistic Initiatives category.

The award, collected by Italy Sales Director Alberto Bandinelli, represents further recognition in the journey of social and cultural sustainability concerning the future of refrigeration design. Based on an idea by Bruno Vanzan in collaboration with designer Fabiano Zucconi, it is the first workstation that breaks down barriers, redefining the standards of high Mixology and workstation accessibility. “The impetus for making this project came precisely from the desire to give equal opportunity to people like Alessandro Vitiello, bartender and friend,” said Bruno Vanzan.

Specifically designed to accommodate professionals with disabilities on chairs, Moon Open is designed to enable all bar tenders to carry out their job professionally and in total autonomy. A work station that is the result of a design aimed at creating a work space which respects and enhances the different abilities, thanks to a design that opens up to a flexible and accessible way of working.
