Murozero Slide competes in the Compasso d’oro 2019
Federico Malizia – CEO of CIAM and Fabrizio Milesi – Architect and designer, participated in the ADI Design Index 2018, the annual selection of the Association for Industrial Design that collects the best Italian design put into production.
The products that compete for the award of the Compasso d’Oro 2019 were presented on the occasion of the event, selected by the Permanent Observatory of Design ADI, the most authoritative worldwide recognition of Italian design.
MUROZERO Slide, a refrigerated and ventilated cabinet with an innovative concept, has been chosen to compete for the prestigious award and has been included in the exhibition and multimedia itinerary created at the Leonardo Da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, which collects and shows the Italian production excellence of the design sector over the past year.
The exhibition opened on the 15th October and will be open to the public totally free of charge until 21 October 2018.
The Compasso d’Oro Award, established in 1954, is awarded every two years by a special Jury of ADI and the ADI Foundation, working on the basis of the selection published in the annual ADI Design Indexes. The methodology of continuous quality survey, implemented by the Observatory in the selection process towards the Compasso d’Oro Award, is unique on the national and international scene.
The almost three hundred projects awarded in over fifty years of the prize’s life, together with the approximately two thousand selected with the Honourable Mention, are collected and kept in the Historical Collection of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award, whose management has been entrusted to the ADI Foundation.
The products that compete, including MUROZERO Slide, are selected by a committee of experts, designers, critics, historians, journalists, members of the ADI or external to it, continuously engaged in collecting information and evaluating the best products that are then published in the ADI Design Index yearbooks.
