CIAM design triumphs in Milan
CIAMs’ Style and technology is protagonist in Milan for the new opening of Caffè Fernanda located inside the historic Pinacoteca di Brera.
His name is a tribute to the memory of the famous director and art critic Fernanda Wittgens, who led and directed the gallery during the Second World War.
The room is located at the end of the exhibition path, the room has historically hosted the bookshop, and it is a welcoming and refined space with tables and unique pieces of furniture, perfect for an artistic setting such as the Pinacoteca.
The CIAM design embellishes the decor of the entire cafeteria in which the FLAT TS showcases and the back-bases COMPACT BASIC stand out.
The counter is embellished with a cladding made with slats in canaletto walnut. The tops are in burnished brass, the back elevation is mirrored with brass tubulars and the wooden shelves are with built-in LED lighting.
A design portrait that marries beautifully with the character and history of the Gallery.
A careful and precise work, a new twist for the Pinacoteca, which in addition to the bar has seen the re-arrangement of some rooms on the occasion of the presentation of the exhibition “Attorno a Ingres and Hayez Different looks on women in the mid-nineteenth century”.
An important task that prides itself on the whole CIAM world: our design meets the tradition and the art of a place that has always represented a cultural reference point for the Lombard capital and the whole of Italy.
