CIAM main sponsor and protagonist at Universo Assisi 2019.

From 20 to 28 July, Universo Assisi returns with a program full of innovative proposals that will transform the city into a festival of culture, music, art, dance, architecture and theater, staging events, concerts, debates and performances in the most suggestive places of the city .

On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the proclamation of St. Francis as the patron of ecology, the art director of the Festival, Joseph Grima, has chosen environmental sustainability as the common thread of the third edition of the festival which this year opens to public places in the city, dedicating a special section of the festival to secret places.

It is in this dual thematic frameworks, ecology and secret places, that not only CIAM‘s presence as the main sponsor of the event is inserted, but its direct participation in the events program. The vision of CIAM cannot, in fact, ignore the deep bond with the territory in which it was born and in which it continues to grow day by day. A vision that looks at nature as the fundamental value of its philosophy, and it is in respect of these values that its research and experimentation turn its gaze to innovation capable of preserving the environment that surrounds us.

During the nine days of festivals dedicated to human, integral and cultural ecology, three different moments of programming will be dedicated to Ciam.

During the morning of 25 July, it will be the turn of a guided tour to the Sant’Egidio Airport, designed by Gae Aulenti and world Binova. The tour will end with a visit to the CIAM facilities during which participants will have the chance to visit the CIAM Museum, as a meeting place between design and technology.

On the afternoon of 25 July, CIAM will attend the round table sponsored by ADI, the Umbria delegation, entitled “Analysis and reflections on the future of the design industry in Italy and Umbria“. The meeting will be moderated by several Umbrian entrepreneurs, including CIAM CEO Federico Malizia, and Andrea Margaritelli, President of the National Institute of Architecture, President of the Listone Giordano Foundation and Brand Manager of the Group.

On the morning of Friday 26 July, the CIAM Museum will be the setting for an exclusive event thanks to the presence of Jan Boelen, who will present the bioplastics project with Atelier Luma. The exciting spaces of the Museum will welcome the designer and his visions in an appointment that will be open to the public with limited seats.
